Most often, having candy or other sweet treats in a dream happens when something is happening in your real life that brings about the same emotional response within you as a candy store would! We often say, “Sweet!” when we are excited about something. Sweets are also used as rewards when growing up so it can be the way the subconscious is treating us for a job well done in waking life.

Sometimes these dreams can even represent someone in your life – or even a part of yourself that others consider to be sweet.

However, if you are trying to remove sugar from your diet, you may find yourself dreaming of candies and treats quite a bit. Just like when quitting smoking, you will find yourself dreaming of smoking a lot. it’s the way the subconscious tries to compensate for what you are depriving yourself of. It settles down in time though.

What specific sweets were in your dream? Specifics ALWAYS matter in a dream. Were they baked goods? If so, that could be connected to finances in real life because of the “bread” or “dough” element of baked goods. Was it a specific brand of candy bar or was it hard candy as opposed to Taffy? Whatever the specific candy or sweet is, what comes to mind when you think of it? What do you associate with that candy? Is it a type of candy you don’t care for? Then it may be your subconscious telling you that a “sweet” opportunity in real life just isn’t for you. Wherever your mind goes when you think of that particular type of sweet, or whatever memory it conjures up… you can bet there is something there that applies to your life right now. So put on your thinking cap and dig in!
